Finance Track – Shape the Future of Financial Strategy

Are you a recent graduate or an early-career finance professional with big ambitions and a passion for shaping the future of banking Join our 18-month International Talent Programme (ITP) in  Finance —a development-focused journey designed to accelerate your growth into a strategic finance expert or future leader.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across core financial domains, contribute to impactful projects, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation. Whether your interest lies in financial analysis, strategic advice, or reporting, this programme offers a tailored path to help you thrive.

What You’ll Bring – Core Competencies

No matter your specialisation, we’re looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Financial acumen: You hold a master’s degree in Accountancy & Control, (Business) Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and have a strong interest in financial services and innovation.
  • Analytical mindset: You enjoy working with data, simplifying complexity, and forecasting future scenarios. You understand the economic landscape and the role Finance plays in shaping strategic decisions.
  • Growth potential: You’re eager to learn, have gained international or extracurricular experience, and are fluent in English. You bring energy, curiosity, and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Collaboration & impact: You’re a team player who balances independence with collaboration, and you’re motivated to contribute to ING’s transformation and the future of banking.

Choose Your Path – Explore Our Finance Domains

The International Talent Programme (ITP) in Finance consists of three rotations, each lasting six months. Over the course of 18 months, you’ll explore key areas of internal financial processes and build a strong foundation for your future career.

Your journey begins with rotations in Accounting & Reporting and Financial Business Advice (FBA). In your third rotation, you’ll have the opportunity to work abroad. This international experience is not only exciting but also valuable for your personal and professional development.

Throughout the programme, you’ll work on strategic projects such as simplifying financial models, forecasting future performance, or advising on ING’s position in the mortgage market. You’ll be given real responsibility from the start and grow into a trusted business partner, ready to advise senior management on key financial matters.

After completing the programme, you’ll transition into a permanent role tailored to your interests.

What We Offer – Your Growth Starts Here

We offer you a competitive base salary for this starter position, along with paid annual leave, a comprehensive training package, and a permanent contract from day one. As part of the International Talent Programme (ITP), you’ll gain exposure to strategic work across multiple domains, helping you build a strong foundation for your future career.

Throughout the programme, you’ll be part of a vibrant international trainee community, participating in global learning events that cover core banking topics. These events also help you develop essential soft skills like stakeholder management, business partnering, and presentation techniques.

In addition to these global events, we offer a wide range of training opportunities tailored to your personal development needs. These include sessions focused on leadership, personal growth, and professional certifications such as CFA. You’ll decide which trainings best support your goals, in consultation with your manager.

Above all, we provide an open and inclusive environment where your ideas are welcomed and valued. Our culture embraces innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement, all aimed at making banking simpler and more transparent for our customers.
