About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Customer Data team. You will be part of a high-impact environment where reliability, scalability, and cross-departmental collaboration are key. Our systems handle critical customer data across multiple business domains, with a strong focus on risk management, resilience, and performance.

You’ll work with modern implementations of Java and Springboot in an Event Driven Architecture including Kafka, Cassandra, Oracle SQL, CQRS, Axon Framework, and contribute to backend development as well as Operational activities.

• Design solutions that fulfill complex business requirements.
• Code smart, efficient, and resilient applications.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and integration.

• Run your applications smoothly in production with special focus to reliability and security.
• Continuously learn and share knowledge, embedding best practices and lessons learned.

How to succeed

Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. Requirements are:
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or IT.
• Certifications and/or proven proficiency in software development.
• 8+ years of experience in Agile IT projects.
• Strong expertise in:
  - Java 21, Spring Boot, Kafka, Maven

  - CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  - Monitoring tools like Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus

• Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:
  - Reactive programming (e.g., Project Reactor, RxJava)

  - Java Virtual Threads
  - CQRS pattern, Axon Framework
  - Cassandra, Oracle SQL
  - litHTML


• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python) and a strong willingness to learn new ones.
• Awareness of:
  - Security & IT Risk
  - Resilience patterns
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
