Strategic Learning & Talent Expert – ING Belgium (Brussels)

As a Strategic Learning & Talent Expert, you’ll be part of our Human Resources Centre of Expertise, where you’ll design and deliver forward-thinking development strategies that empower employees and leaders to thrive in a fast-changing world.

You’ll work in the Talent & Learning team, the hub for learning, talent development, and diversity, inclusion & belonging (DIB) initiatives. Your role is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong focus on impact, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategic learning, talent, and DIB solutions aligned with ING’s business priorities.
  • Drive leadership development initiatives to strengthen capabilities across all levels.
  • Support the development journey of ING trainees (ITPs).
  • Translate global learning and talent strategies into locally relevant, impactful programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-create solutions and foster engagement.
  • Promote a culture of lifelong learning, inclusion, and growth across the organization.
  • Lead and manage projects that support ING’s ambition for talent obsession and learning agility.
  • Use data and insights to evaluate and continuously improve learning and talent initiatives.
  • Balance strategic vision with operational execution to ensure real impact.

Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years experience in strategic learning & development, talent management, or HR project leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into strategic and practical development solutions.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Fluent in English and either Dutch or French.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Able to take ownership while setting clear priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
