We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub – a distinct entity from ING Bank Romania – then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies.

Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj.

With the help of 1400 engineers, risk and operations professionals, we offer 150 services in tech, non-financial risk & compliance, audit and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide.

Our tech capabilities remain the core of our business, with more than 1100 colleagues active in Data Management, TouchPoint Channels & Integration and Core Banking.

The Mission

We, the Business Intelligence team are responsible for creating and maintaining various reports across different product lines like lending, transaction services or financial markets both for regulatory and non-regulatory purposes.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Help our colleagues in maintaining the BI Platform. How?
    • Using Agile SCRUM principles and ceremonies to deliver, maintain and extend the BI platform
    • Provisioning and configuring the Windows VMs from our private cloud
    • Develop and use PowerShell scripts to configure and administrate Windows servers
    • Patching Windows Servers / SharePoint farms with the latest updates available.
    • Onboarding new BI solutions & deploying changes on the BI platform
    • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances.
    • Use your T-SQL development skills to optimize SQL jobs
    • Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell
    • Develop Azure DevOps pipelines to continuous deploy new features
    • Work together with our colleagues from Data Lake who are sending us the data from the applications

  • All the above should be done using PowerShell, SQL Server, Visual Studio, SharePoint & Azure DevOps

  • Let’s not forget about risk. Ensure that the data is properly used by enforcing risk rules that keep us safe

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Good knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher
  • Very good experience with PowerShell scripting  
  • Passionate about data and reporting
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is considered a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint is considered a plus
  • Advanced written and spoken English skills
  • Tech stack/ knowledge:
    • Mandatory: Windows Server, SQL Server 2016 or higher, PowerShell
    • Nice to have: SharePoint admin skills
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced)
  • Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
