The Mission

We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) specializing in Oracle Exadata and Multitenant Architecture to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and automation, with additional experience in IBM InfoSphere and modern DevOps practices. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of enterprise-grade database systems.

Your day to day

Core DBA Responsibilities

Administer and optimize Oracle databases, including Exadata systems and multitenant architecture.
Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management.
Implement high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for future growth.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

Diagnose and resolve complex database issues promptly.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Development & Automation

Develop PL/SQL scripts for database operations.
Automate routine DBA tasks using Korn/Bash Shell, Python, and Ansible.

Monitoring & Observability

Implement and manage monitoring solutions using ELK stack, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Ensure proactive alerting and reporting for database health.

Secondary Responsibilities

Work with IBM InfoSphere for data integration and management.
Utilize GIT, Azure DevOps, and Azure Pipelines for CI/CD processes.
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to system reliability and fault tolerance.

What you’ll bring to the team

Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise:

Extensive knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture and Performance Tuning.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata and Multitenant Architecture.
Strong PL/SQL development skills.
Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) administration.

Monitoring & Automation:

Experience with ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus.
Scripting and automation using Korn/Bash Shell, Python, and Ansible.

Additional Skills:

Familiarity with IBM InfoSphere.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GIT, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and principles of reliability and scalability.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with other ETL or data integration tools.
Exposure to cloud-based database solutions.
