The Hungarian Tech team is looking for a highly experienced and solution-oriented IT Change Portfolio Expert to implement and maintain the IT change portfolio governance and to reinforce strategic alignment, transparency and efficiency of the local IT change delivery. The role includes the orchestration of the IT change portfolio governance framework leveraging agile practices and ING Group standards, and the management and oversight of specific strategic, regulatory projects. The ideal candidate has a strong IT project and portfolio management knowledge combined with agile and/or governance expertise with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop Business and IT teams towards shared improvement and delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Establishing IT change portfolio governance: develop a fit-for-purpose governance framework aligned with organizational needs, existing agile practices and regulatory, business requirements, support the local Product Owner in applying and embedding the governance model into the delivery practices

  • Creating documentation, tooling: elaborate governance policies, templates, operational reporting mechanisms, supporting materials, introduce required tools, monitor their implementation

  • Stakeholder engagement: provide strategic advice and insights on matters of importance in relation to the IT change portfolio to the local executive team and other key internal local and Group stakeholders, ensure support in communicating business information and decisions , develop positive stakeholder relationships

  • IT delivery team engagement: support autonom, agile way of working of the IT delivery team, facilitate IT engineers to embed governance practices into day-to-day delivery flows, coach team on IT portfolio change impact awareness, dependency analysis, risk and issue management, and reporting

  • Quality Assurance: conduct assurance reviews within IT change portfolio delivery, facilitate developing appropriate actions to resolve any gaps identified

  • Project execution: plan and manage the delivery of assigned strategic or regulatory IT projects, ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle

Key required skills

  • At least 5 years of extensive IT project / portfolio management experience with proven track record of regulatory / strategic / transformation projects in a cross-cultural environment

  • Demonstrated experience of designing and building frameworks, tools and templates, ability to create rich, concise and quality documents and reports

  • Evidence of acquired knowledge of agile principles

  • Experience in leading IT and Business teams, driving changes through, and influencing stakeholders

  • Ability to build strong and collaborative partnerships with Business stakeholders, IT leaders, ensure transparency across Business and IT teams, ability to reach alignment across diverse stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Hungarian and in English languages

  • Effective problem-resolution and negotiation skills

  • Ability to inspire, coach, and develop versatile teams

  • Working experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g. financial institutions)

  • Ability to independently driving multiple initiatives forward with a proactive mindset
