Product Manager

  • As Product Manager you will originate and build data-driven algorithmic products. This is an entrepreneurial and global role in an innovative international team.
  • You will start off the day with the daily standup with your product squad. Afterwards you work with them planning and defining the upcoming experiments. The next meeting is with UX, who want to run through their latest research results with you. This will be important input for you to prioritize the backlog for upcoming sprint.
  • You go for lunch with the hot AI Fintech that is using voice data to predict trading behavior, who you spotted coming out of a Startup Accelerator. Then, you run a workshop with a team that has been thinking about an AI-related idea and help them work it out into a concrete AI challenge. This could be a project for our upcoming experiment week.
  • This evening you are presenting at an AI Meetup that attracts the best AI minds in the city… or you call it a day and spend some quality private time to keep a healthy balance between focus, rest and other things.

Your team

  • You will be part of the Wholesale Banking Analytics Tribe (WBA), WBA has the purpose to build data-driven products that benefit ING’s clients and the bank. With a team of about 60 engineers, data scientists, UXers and product managers we build solutions that make the wholesale bank more data driven. You will specifically work on the WBA flagship product Domino.

Your key responsibilities

As Product Manager:

  • Product discovery: identify (data) problems, prioritize idea backlog and design and execute experiments to determine what problems need solving
  • Work with a squad of Data Scientists, UXers, and Engineers to discover the potential of a product idea, the user problem (user research) and validate and prototype
  • Manage data-driven products so that they generate significant value for ING and its customers
  • Create value propositions, vision and product strategy
  • Good understanding of innovation and product management, in Agile way of working and utilizes Design Thinking
  • Ability to develop structured product concepts from abstract ideas and lead prototyping
  • Demonstrate thought leadership internally and externally
  • Understanding and enthusiasm for technology, advanced analytics and data science methods

We are looking for:

  • The Product Manager role encompasses a wide range of aspects such as customer experience, product management and IT. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can take the lead in improving specific platform assigned, improving existing and building new features to drive growth for the Product area.

Skillset:

  • University degree
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  • You are skilled at setting up and coordinating products, while being sensitive to the wider dynamics and building consensus
  • You succeed in balancing the necessary legislative compliance with customer interests
  • You can explain complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including by using your strong analytical skills
  • You are results-oriented and quick to turn thoughts into actions • You are a real team player
  • Written and spoken fluency in English
