Citizen Development Consultant

We are looking for you, if you:

  • have professional Experience with Low-code / No-Code platforms, in particular Microsoft Power Platforms,

  • possess a strong history of developing Power Platform solutions,

  • have good understanding of Power Platform architecture and its interaction with other interfaced systems in a typical enterprise environment,

  • have competency in advanced Power Platform methodologies that support ALM best practices including, but not limited to:

    • Power FX

    • Environment management

    • Custom connectors

    • Solution management

    • DLP policies

    • Power Platform admin centre

  • are experienced in taking responsibility for deliverables and excellent client & employee experience,

  • have good communication skills and social competence for strong customer relationships.

You'll get extra points for:

  • SAP Build or equivalent are a plus,

  • Microsoft Certifications are preferred but not required, as the company will support the successful candidate in completing Microsoft certifications.Having experience in Citizen Development principles and governance plus affinity for digital technology, data and application creation would be a huge advantage.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with the Citizen Development COE lead to establish governance for citizen development, ensuring long-term support for critical and noncritical applications,

  • Take a leadership role within the CD COE, helping attract, motivate, and empower employees,

  • Promote self-sufficiency among business stakeholders for scripting and no-code application development,

  • Participate in the Automation Citizen Development Community, providing guidance to citizen developers,

  • Provide technical expertise in Citizen Development, including implementation design, environment strategy, training, and governance,

  • Collaborate with stakeholders responsible for data input to ensure accurate measurement and tracking of essential information,

  • Collaborate closely with IT system experts to improve data structures and information collection,

  • Maintain and improve Microsoft Power Platform capabilities,

  • Engage with regional project sponsors and SMEs to generate analytics reports.

  • Report on project objectives and key metrics,

  • Communicate project status, manage stakeholders, and address issues and escalations,

  • Champion continuous improvement, best practices, and sustainability,

  • Deliver user guidance and training on the Citizen Development Platform, encompassing Power Platform and ServiceNow.

Information about the squad:

As a member of the Citizen Development Center of Excellence (CoE) you'll be responsible for enabling automation capabilities at scale for ING. This domain is instrumental in empowering our workforce, increase efficiency, and bring transparency to business operations and remain in control of our NoCode environment. Currently the main platform for Citizen Development is Microsoft Power Platform, however we are going towards a tool-agnostic model. Our vision is for this role to expand into a Product Owner role over time, so the ideal candidate is one who is inspired to build our automation offerings 'from the ground up' with a keen understanding of low-code/no-code opportunities that can quickly and safely scale in an Enterprise environment.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer II”.
