Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description

 Within a multi-skilled and autonomous Database & Mainframe squad you will :

  • Be able to understand and lead day to day activities of the team
  • Take an active part in the evolution of procedures & standards for all kinds of components within the squad
  • Be responsible for the operational maintenance (patching, LCM, health check, tuning, …)  and the deployments of assets in your scope
  • Support other teams database needs  
  • Improve the quality of deliveries by automating the deployments wherever possible.

  • Flexibility in general; periodically available during week-ends.

Technical skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle 19c (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server, Cassandra or NEO4J will be an asset
  • Knowledge of – or willing to learn – Ansible and DB2
  • Relevant experience in scripting is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Service Now, Confluence or Azure DevOps/Azure Boards will be a plus as those are widely used within ING.

Experience

  • Training level : Master or Bachelor degree in IT
  • Experience of +5 years in an Operations Engineers team is mandatory
