Role Overview

As a Business Analyst you will join the Management Accounting domain within the Tribe Management Accounting & Cost Management of COO Finance. The Tribe sits right at the heart of the complexity of the bank. We translate (complex) business activities and requirements into financial data and reporting solutions. You will be supporting and enhancing PeopleSoft in the eProfit area: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Billing as well as the Request to Procure process, that supports management accounting and cost allocation activities within ING mainly for The Netherlands.

Also, you will act as Product Owner of the responsible squad. You will analyse business processes and assess the impact and you will make sure that the business- and user requirements are covered in changes to the application and reporting solution. It is important that you have strong analytical capabilities as well as functional and sufficient technical knowledge on PeopleSoft and related business processes in ING.

We are looking for a business analyst with proven experience in the management accounting applications domain preferably in banking/financial institutions. Someone who is capable of quickly understanding a complex environment and system landscape. Someone who enjoys working in a team of highly skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst and Product Owner you will contribute to the maintenance, stability, continuity and extension of PeopleSoft and also will contribute to the future architecture of the Cost Management landscape (ERP).

  • Translate functional requirements from the user community and our stakeholders into solution designs
  • Work together with engineers in the squad and implement functional changes to the application
  • Work together with engineers to develop, configure and improve the application
  • Pro-actively work on changes, take ownership for end-to-end delivery
  • Assist in testing the functionality that has been developed
  • Maintain dialogue with internal (senior) stakeholders, such as DBNL & Procurement.
  • Work on a vision and strategy on the Cost Management capability within the target Finance reference architecture.


Required Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor/Master in a field which has equipped you with relevant knowledge and skills
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a business analyst in the management accounting domain
  • Experience in global change management, software implementations and stakeholder engagement across multiple regions.
  • Experience with the application Oracle PeopleSoft (Cost Management)
  • Strong affinity with Technology and IT
  • Experience working in Agile environments, preferably in a Tribe/Squad model.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
  • Leadership skills to lead the squad and set priorities
