International Talent Programme – CIO Office Analyst

ING offers you the chance to make the absolute most of your talent on a traineeship within the bank: the International Talent Programme (ITP). During the traineeship ING will invest in your future now to develop the leaders of tomorrow.

At the beginning of your traineeship you’ll rotate between different projects and departments within your track. After your rotations, you get to choose a long term positions based on your experience and area of interest.

This is a comprehensive programme that provides talented graduates with the knowledge, skills and on-the-job experience to become ING’s future leaders. We offer you the chance to shape your own ideas about banking in a receptive environment.
The programme is truly international with more than 100 trainees in 14 different countries. For each year of the program there will be a global event designed as a bootcamp to develop your personal skill in the process.

What your first 6-month rotation will let you focus on

Given the ambitious growth plans of TECH Delivery in Italy, in the first rotation (6 month) you will perform the role of Junior Project Manager supporting IT Lead and his Management Team in executing the strategic roadmap. You will play an important role in organizing, steering, and monitoring the daily business activities related to Delivery’s  project.

Main tasks will include:

  • Close collaboration with the IT Lead (support in day-to-day business as well as within local and international projects & initiatives)
  • Close collaboration with Delivery Management Team, business, products, support functions, and further stakeholders
  • Support in steering the Delivery strategic roadmap, project management, alignment, and execution
  • Frequent preparation of ad hoc analyses and business/project development deep dives
  • Active support in setting, monitoring, and achievement of Delivery KPIs

What about your second rotation

With these new experiences and contacts, you are in charge to arrange your second rotation within TECH area. Now it comes down to addressing your network and taking the initiative, also for an international experience that could be relevant for your personal and professional development. 

Your second year
After two rotations, you now have a better understanding of which direction you would like to go and are ready to choose your third rotation. Are you broadening your knowledge within your track, or would you like to explore an area within another track? Both are an option for this rotation!

During your third rotation you’ll start networking for your fixed position. This permanent role lets you go deeper into the TECH field of your higher interest.

What we offer:

Global events. Access to yearly 2-3 weeks global events with other ING International Talent Programme talents from all around the world.

Job rotations. Insights in various business units during the first 18 months and work abroad into one of our ING countries for 3 - 6 months. (if circumstances allow)

International onboarding. Following your local onboarding introduction, you will fly to our headquarters in Amsterdam for a two week-long international onboarding event. (if circumstances allow)

Trainings & learning experiences in different business lines to boost your knowledge and skill set.

Mentoring. Experienced ING executives will support your personal and professional development through regular feedback and coaching.

What we’re looking for

  • You have a Bachelor’s/master’s degree in management engineering or computer Science
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, proved excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • You have an innovative take on banking and an unconditional drive to turn your ideas into reality
  • You are enthusiastic and consider the interests of our customers and your colleagues
  • You act with integrity and responsibility
  • You are fluent in English and Italian; foreign candidates have an advanced knowledge of Italian (at least B2)
  • Good level knowledge of IT Governance
  • You have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience
