Job Profile Summary

The Senior Analyst, Financial Markets Operations provides specialized support and expertise within a designated business area, taking responsibility for organizational, process, and operational tasks. This role requires advanced knowledge and extensive experience across multiple aspects of complex processes to ensure maximum efficiency. The Senior Analyst delivers high-quality, tailored solutions for processing standard products and files within an integrated environment. Recognized as a subject matter expert in several high-risk processes and products across Financial Markets Operations, the individual should operate with minimal supervision in a moderately complex setting and to stay informed of market developments and incorporate this knowledge into daily activities, reporting any deviations to the appropriate authority. The role aligns with the company’s mission and vision, adhering to ING’s policies and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and check transactions to ensure timely processing before daily cut-off.
  • Support local applications, settlements, reporting, and client-related tasks in the local language.
  • Liaise with Front Office, agents, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Oversee daily operations to maintain efficiency, streamline procedures, resolve issues, and control workflow.
  • Ensure adherence to company and regulatory procedures and controls.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Understand compliance roles and obligations; raise issues with management and compliance when necessary.
  • Report on control adequacy and changes in the control environment.
  • Review and validate external reports prior to submission.
  • Document knowledge of banking products and operational processes in work instructions and procedures, particularly for complex products and projects.
  • Apply and design service level agreements (SLAs) and act on them.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop practical proposals for complex processes, procedures, and technology.
  • Provide input for projects based on experience and best practices; monitor project impact on operations.
  • Implement process and technology improvements, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
  • Act as the entity’s representative for CSD matters.
  • Maintain proper controls across all operational processes; address control weaknesses and incidents promptly.
  • Update procedure manuals as needed.
  • Ensure BCP/DR plans are current, tested, and implemented when required.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and across departments; influence and work effectively with others.
  • Coordinate and monitor short-term tasks to meet SLAs, KPIs, and procedural requirements; set priorities accordingly.

Role requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Financial Market Operations.
  • Fluent in English and Korean, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments and levels.
  • Proactive, open-minded, and eager to learn and contribute.
  • Willingness to challenge existing practices constructively.
  • Ability to provide positive and continuous feedback to team members.
