In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across many markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

Department Overview

We offer different internship opportunities in different departments and locations of our Wholesale bank. This vacancy focuses on a position within Financial Markets on the Global Securities Finance (GSF) trading desk.

Duties and responsibilities

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the business of Securities Finance and its role within Financial Markets.

Assist with regular tasks such as risk checks, reporting, and preparing market summaries.
Work closely with our traders to support risk management, trading strategies, and P&L calculations.
Maintain and improve existing processes – which could be part of a larger project that will benefit the desk.
Develop an understanding of executing profitable trades within mandated strategies in an efficient and compliant manner.

What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications)

Highly motivated quick and open learner
Strong command of Excel (w/VBA knowledge) and Programming
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of Global Financial Markets
Good time management and be able to work under pressure
