ING Hubs Slovakia is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING’s global clients. Our mission is to harmonize and standardize products and processes in order to give an outstanding and differentiating client experience. To support our growth and harmonization we are now looking to build a new Intelligent Automation team in Bratislava. The mission of the team will be to accelerate in the identification, analysis and execution of automation & AI activities, while delivering efficiency, consistency and quality improvements to our banking operations worldwide.

As Expert Lead, you will lead the development and execution of the Intelligent Automation team from vision and concept to sustainability, by managing and developing an expert team while taking into account the internal customers’ and ING clients’ needs, the environment and society.

You are combining in an approximate ratio of 70% to 30% the role of individual contributor and people manager in an Agile way of working (WoW) organization. You act as a servant leader instead of hierarchical top-down manager. You are responsible for facilitating, supporting and motivating team members to achieve common goals.

Together with your team members you will:

  • Evaluate business needs and user requirements across various departments to actively identify intelligent automation & AI opportunities
  • Plan and steer various automation & AI campaigns at different levels to maintain great level of relationship with internal customers, identify high potential use cases and drive AI adoption across the organization
  • Ensure the team follows our best practices and standards for discovery, delivery and service operations
  • Provide regular progress update to senior management including success stories and potential impediments, keeping it very transparent
  • Ensure E2E coordination with process owners, developers and IT teams to deliver automation & AI solutions successfully
  • Work closely with business departments to ensure conformance to governance and processes
  • Monitor intelligent automation performance regularly via clearly set KPIs
  • Regularly challenge best practices and apply continuous improvement into the way of working


You will also be responsible for:

  • Building a strong team identity and ensuring your team members apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
  • Facilitating the HR cycle (staffing, planning, developing, reviewing and evaluating), balancing employee needs with company demands
  • Driving engagement and creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives

Technical Skills & Personality requirements:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to define and drive an enterprise automation and AI vision
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level intelligent automation & AI management with strong understanding of technologies, architecture, frameworks, delivery lifecycle and best practices
  • 3+ years of experience with strong leadership skills to lead and develop a team of highly skilled automation engineers and business analysts
  • Proven experience with applying AI in an enterprise environment with including but not limited to Copilot, Copilot Studio
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to influence at executive level
  • Strong change management mindset to drive adoption of intelligent automation & AI
  • Abstract and analytical thinking, you are able to understand business processes and translate them into optimized workflows and automations
  • Understanding of assistive AI, LLMs and agent-based automation concepts
  • Able to implement solutions and quickly overcome barriers to deliver tangible benefits
  • Entrepreneurial work style, in which you regularly step “outside the walls” of your role to drive innovative thinking and practice
  • Ability to empower people through leadership, coaching skills and by acting as a role model
  • Influence skills with local and global functional leaders to ensure global collaboration without losing track of your role as service provider
  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • Fluent in English (C1 level)

Wage (gross)

3.536 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
