Buying a house and/or taking out a (new) mortgage is perhaps the most important financial decision in a lifetime. By making the right choices at that moment, a solid foundation is laid under the financial health. That is why, even though the customer journey starts online for almost everyone, consumers opt for advice from an expert.

What does a Central Mortgage Advisor do?

A Mortgage Central Advisor helps customers remotely with the financing of their mortgage wishes. In accordance with the hybrid mode, you work from home and from one of our so-called "Hubs". A Hub is an ING location where advisors from various advisory teams, such as Wealth, Mortgage and Business Banking, give clients remote advice. The Mortgage Advisory Team works from five Hubs: Bunnik, The Hague, Eindhoven, Zwolle and Zaandam. You work in a team together with the colleagues at "your" Hub on the financial health of our customers with best-in-class mortgage advice. You contribute to the joint result of your team.

Roles and responsibilities

• You give advice remotely

Appointments with (potential) customers are scheduled in your calendar. At the agreed time you give advice via a video call. You can "make a click remotely" like no other and know how to win the customer for you and for ING in the first few minutes of a video call with your enthusiasm. You speak to exploratory customers and customers who have chosen ING after an orientation meeting with you. You get energy from one day speaking, guiding and advising many different customers at different times in their customer journey. This requires flexibility, a good portion of empathy and a grip on your agenda.

• Every conversation is an opportunity

You know how to recharge for every conversation: another opportunity in which you help a customer with your knowledge and skills with tailor-made information and advice. This requires a high speed of action and maximum efficiency from you. In addition to a passion to help the customer realize mortgage wishes, you know how to switch quickly if you draw the conclusion with the customer in an orientation meeting that there are currently insufficient options for this. You do this in a way that this customer is not disappointed but chooses you and ING again at a more promising stage of the customer journey.

• You make mortgage wishes a reality

If an orientation meeting leads to an advisory process, you know how to bind the customer to you as an advisor and you know how to proactively guide the customer in the follow-up process. In a consultation you know how to give the customer remote insight and overview into his / her personal financial possibilities, to help make the right choices and to broaden the conversation to, for example, insure risks and themes such as sustainability. That's what you enjoy the most: if you've helped a customer with information in the first phase of the customer journey and they've realized a desire to live with ING thanks to you. That is why you also know how to motivate these customers to recommend you as an advisor and ING as a mortgage lender to their friends and acquaintances.

The team

The Mortgage Advisory Team is part of ING Retail Advice. In addition to the digital and mobile customer experience, we offer remote and face-to-face inspiration and personal advice at the moments that matter most to our customers, such as mobile banking, wealth and living. The Mortgage Advisory Team consists of 250 colleagues who empower clients in an unprecedentedly important (financial) decision. We have colleagues who help customers "remotely" (by telephone or via a so-called "video call") with their first questions. We have advisors who help (potential) clients take out a "new" mortgage and advisors "management" who support clients with advice on 'life events' such as divorce or death. With 'skills' such as giving advice to English-speaking customers, entrepreneurs and new construction projects, you can further develop yourself and help us to serve these customer groups even better.

• Excellent command of the Dutch language and current residency in the Netherlands
• A completed HBO or WO education
• The relevant WFT diplomas
• Possession of the Certified Financial Advisor diploma is an advantage.
• Commercial work experience in (financial) advice
• You are able to make a personal connection with customers via a video call from where you will advise.

You get energy from pushing commercial boundaries together and to work with the ideas or initiatives of the team. Based on your knowledge and experience, we create a tailor-made training program. In practice, you first work for a certain period of time at the Digital Living Team. Wat doet een Adviseur Wonen Centraal

Een Adviseur Wonen Centraal helpt klanten op afstand bij de financiering van hun woonwens. Je werkt, conform de hybrid mode, vanuit huis en vanuit één van onze zogenaamde “Hubs”. Een Hub is een ING locatie waar adviseurs van verschillende adviesteams, zoals Vermogen, Wonen en Business Banking, klanten advies op afstand geven. Adviesteam Wonen werkt vanuit vijf Hubs: Bunnik, Den Haag, Eindhoven, Zwolle en Zaandam. Je werkt in een team samen met de collega’s op “jouw” Hub aan de financiële gezondheid van onze klanten met best-in-class woonadvies. Je draagt bij aan het gezamenlijke resultaat van jouw team.

De rolenverantwoordelijkheden 

• Je geeft advies op afstand

Afspraken met (potentiële) klanten worden ingepland in jouw agenda. Op het afgesproken tijdstip geef je advies via een beeldgesprek. Jij kunt als geen ander “op afstand een klik maken” en weet met jouw enthousiasme in de eerste paar minuten van een beeldgesprek de klant te winnen voor jou en voor ING. Je spreekt oriënterende klanten en klanten die na een oriëntatiegesprek met jou voor ING hebben gekozen. Je krijgt er energie van om op een dag veel verschillende klanten op verschillende momenten in hun klantreis te spreken, begeleiden en adviseren. Dit vereist flexibiliteit, een flink portie empathisch vermogen en grip op jouw agenda.

• Elk gesprek is een kans

Je weet je op te laden voor elk gesprek: weer een kans waarin jij een klant met jouw kennis en kunde helpt met informatie en advies op maat. Dit vraagt van jou een hoge handelingssnelheid en maximale efficiency. Naast een passie om de klant te helpen bij het waarmaken van woonwensen, weet jij snel te schakelen als je met de klant in een oriëntatiegesprek de conclusie trekt dat daar nu onvoldoende mogelijkheden voor zijn. Dat doe je op een manier waardoor deze klant niet teleurgesteld is, maar in een meer kansrijk stadium van de klantreis weer voor jou en voor ING kiest.

• Jij maakt woonwensen werkelijkheid

Als een oriëntatiegesprek leidt tot een adviestraject dan weet je de klant te binden aan jou als adviseur en weet je proactief de klant te begeleiden in het vervolgtraject. In een adviesgesprek weet je de klant op afstand inzicht en overzicht te geven in zijn/haar persoonlijke financiële mogelijkheden, te helpen bij het maken van de juiste keuzes en het gesprek breder te trekken naar bijvoorbeeld het verzekeren van risico’s en thema’s als duurzaamheid. Daar geniet je het meest van: als je een klant in de eerste fase van de klantreis met informatie hebt geholpen en deze dankzij jou een woonwens met ING heeft gerealiseerd. Daarom weet je deze klanten ook te motiveren om bij hun vrienden en kennissen jou als adviseur en ING als hypotheekverstrekker aan te bevelen.

Het team 

Adviesteam Wonen is onderdeel van ING Retail Advice. Wij bieden, aanvullend op de digitale en mobiele klantervaring, op afstand en face-to-face inspiratie en persoonlijk advies op de momenten die er voor onze klanten het meest toe doen, zoals mobiel bankieren, vermogen en wonen. Adviesteam Wonen bestaat uit 250 collega’s die klanten empoweren bij een ongekend belangrijke (financiële) beslissing. We hebben collega’s die klanten “op afstand” (telefonisch of via een zogenaamd “beeldgesprek”) helpen bij hun eerste vragen. We hebben adviseurs die (potentiële) klanten helpen bij het afsluiten van een “nieuwe” hypotheek en adviseurs “beheer” die klanten ondersteunen met advies bij ‘life events’ als scheiden of overlijden. Met ‘skills’ zoals advies geven aan Engelstalige klanten, aan ondernemers en bij nieuwbouwprojecten kun je jezelf verder ontwikkelen en help je ons om deze klantgroepen nóg beter te bedienen.

Hoe ben je succesvol

Om klanten in de volle breedte te kunnen adviseren met daarbij een focus op hypotheken vragen wij het volgende van je:

• Minimaal een afgeronde HBO- of WO-opleiding
• Relevante WFT-diploma’s
• Het bezit van het diploma Erkend Financieel Adviseur is een pré
• Je beheerst de Nederlandse taal uitstekend
• Je hebt commerciële werkervaring in (financieel) advies
• Je bent in staat om met klanten via een beeldgesprek een persoonlijke connectie te maken vanwaar je gaat adviseren

Uiteraard heb je de natuurlijke wil om elke dag het beste uit jezelf te halen. Op basis van jouw kennis en ervaring maken we een opleidingstraject op maat. In de praktijk werk je eerst voor een bepaalde periode bij het Digitaal Wonen Team. Daar leer je de basis van onze systemen, processen en het acceptatiebeleid om vervolgens aan de slag te kunnen gaan als Adviseur Wonen Centraal.
