Senior Project Manager

The Infrastructure Tribe delivers modern, secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms that enable ING to provide outstanding digital banking experiences.

The Senior Project Manager is a key contributor, responsible for ensuring Infrastructure initiatives—spanning Private Cloud, Networks, Storage, Compute, Workplace, and shared services—are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality and risk standards.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Delivery Lead, this role oversees end‑to‑end project execution across the Tribe. The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Finance, and Business to ensure seamless delivery. This role also ensures adherence to ING delivery frameworks, including Agile, CREFS Intake, change management processes, and Infrastructure governance.

You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing ING’s strategic Infrastructure goals, including platform evergreen efforts, reliability and security uplift, lifecycle management, cost optimization, and alignment with global engineering practices.

What you’ll do …

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Infrastructure projects across Networks, Storage/Compute, Workplace, Private Cloud, Security uplift, lifecycle management, and platform remediation.
• Define scope, architecture alignment, dependencies, and resourcing to ensure projects are structured and ready for execution.
• Coordinate Infra squads, Architecture, Tech Delivery, Cybersecurity, Risk, and global partners to maintain seamless cross‑functional delivery.
• Develop delivery plans, RAID logs, Intake documentation, and stakeholder reporting, ensuring transparent governance and communication.
• Manage vendor deliverables, logistics, technical dependencies, and readiness activities, including design sign‑off, build stages, testing, migration events, and go‑live execution.
• Ensure compliance with security, risk, architecture, and global engineering standards, maintaining strong engineering quality, operational readiness, and alignment with change/release processes.

What we’re looking for….

• Proven experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, or technology transformation projects in banking/ financial services / insurance industries.
• Strong technical understanding across networking, compute, storage, workplace, and cloud domains.
• Excellent risk, dependency, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and influencing skills.
• Good familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks.
