Business Analyst – Secondary Analytics for Transaction Monitoring

We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst (BA) for the daily coordination of an Advanced Analytics functionality (Machine Learning) within the Transaction Monitoring area. The BA will act as a bridge between PO, stakeholders and the platform/development team consisting of BAs and Dev/Ops Engineers. During the rollout/implementation phase, extensive support is also required.

The BA Secondary Analytics for Transaction Monitoring (SATM) will support the program by helping countries onboard with the SATM solution, which complements the existing Transaction Monitoring solution. As several countries are already live, your role will focus on supporting the business-as-usual (BAU) activities for those countries. This includes periodic processing, threshold setting, and close collaboration with other TM teams, country contacts, model developers, operations, and TM Management. You will also gather insights into performance to enhance the processes around the solution and improve its overall effectiveness.

We are looking for you if you:

  • have bachelor- or master’s degree.
  • are a natural Self-starter with a clear ‘can do’ mentality: proactive, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile.
  • are able to think 3 steps ahead and link different activities and understand how they influence/ are dependent on one another.
  • have proven ability to work comfortably with limited information and higher levels of ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • have ideally a minimum of 5-10 years of working experience as a BA (depending on role specification and related seniority level) within a highly regulated financial service environment.
  • have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with a strong sense of organizational sensitivity.
  • have very strong personality with communicative, networking and influencing skills.
  • have proven track of working with software development and roadmap delivery and a strong affinity with data and numbers.
  • have some background in statistics and/or machine learning application is preferred.
  • have proven experience of stakeholder engagement at a mid-senior level.
  • have experience in incident management.
  • have experience with implementing tooling or processes in different countries, working in an international setting.
  • have a personality and capabilities to optimally function within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • are fluent in English; speaking and writing.
  • are proactive, enthusiastic and a positive individual who feels personal responsibility for the quality of your team’s work.
  • can say no with confidence and strong reasoning, you are comfortable with ambiguity, and you can make well calculated decisions based on limited information, under pressure.
  • are ambitious and you enjoy the global scope of the role which provides you with the opportunity to work together with diverse cultures.

You’ll get extra points for:

  • Technical knowledge and experience in ServiceNow, FCRM, AA/AI platforms, Agile/scrum/DevOps is an advantage.

Your responsibilities:

ING Hubs Poland is looking for a BA for SATM squad within the Global FCFP Transaction Monitoring. The BA plays an important role in the squad on the cooperation between the business and IT Developers of the squad. As a BA SATM, you will contribute to the rollout of entities onto the SATM solution together with your peer BAs and Dev/Ops Engineers using the Agile/Scrum methodology.

  • You are responsible for working on the sprint backlog with the PO to obtain maximum value and optimal capacity utilization.
  • You play an active role in the QBR (quarterly business review) to ensure user epic feasibility, applying your business and content knowledge.
  • You actively act as go-to person for senior stakeholders, closely supporting your PO.
  • You help your PO communicate the Product vision and strategy to the team.
  • You solve impediments encountered by your team in the development of the Product.
  • You maximize the value of product delivery through owning, ordering, prioritizing, and communicating the Sprint Backlog, adhering to agreed boundaries set by Product Owner on time and functionality.
  • You help manage and prioritize the backlog of the Squad and are actively involved in the creation of stories and features for your Squad.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the team understands the ‘what’ and ‘how’ in a Squad, ensuring that functional and non-functional requirements are meeting expectations.
  • Non-functional requirements include, but are not limited to security, resilience, performance, contractual, legal and compliance requirements and obligations.
  • You ensure alignment with other Squads and other Product Owners.
  • You are responsible for working on incident management and resolutions with the solution. This includes stakeholder inquiries and impact analysis.
  • You give and ask for constructive feedback.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with your Product Owner, who you will support in rolling out the SATM solution to the countries. Your squad will consist of a PO, 3 BAs and 6 Developers from different cultures and backgrounds with squad members located in Poland, Manila and Netherlands. We are looking for a team player with very good communication skills with a proven track record in delivering and monitoring the product in a multidisciplinary, international team with complex objectives, operating in a fast-moving, challenging environment.
