Currently we are looking for anAI Prompt Engineer in the Netherlandsto be part of the team responsible for delivering the digital workplace of the future.As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will play a key role in designing intelligent Microsoft Copilot solutions that make it easier for thousands of colleagues worldwide to work smarter, faster, and more effectively every day.

The team

The ING tribe Global Workplace Services WPS is responsible for the digital workplace of all 80.000+ global ING employees. We ensure that our colleagues can work simply and safely from any device, wherever they are in the hybrid world. We deliver our services that are vital to ING’s business operations from four locations: Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the Philippines.

Roles andresponsibilities
As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will help design and deliver AI-powered solutions that improve the employee experience across ING.You will:

Design and implement Copilot Studio agents using best practices for modularity, intent routing, fallback handling, and escalation (to humans or systems).

Develop state-of-the-art prompts that drive use cases to value.

Apply knowledge management principles to ensure content is accessible, relevant, and easy to maintain — including support for media like images and videos.

Build and maintain adaptive card flows for troubleshooting, knowledge lookups, and ticketing — with a focus on accessibility, localisation, and user feedback.

Champion accessibility in everything you build — including keyboard-first navigation, screen reader support, and speech-to-text/text-to-speech capabilities.

Integrate agents with 3rd party applications such as ServiceNow enabling seamless, pre-filled ticket creation and status updates.

Collaborate on measurement strategies that go beyond star ratings — helping us capture meaningful feedback and improve continuously.

Contribute to a scalable agent architecture that supports phased rollouts, learning loops, and future growth across ING.

Contribute to validating other employee facing AI capabilities such as Gemini Enterprise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Prompt Design Expertise: Experienced in crafting, refining, and evaluating prompts for GenAI agents, chatbots, or Copilot Studio; and/or

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform, including: Power Automate (for backend flows and integrations) & Power Apps (for internal tooling and UI extensions); and/or

  • Strong knowledge of M365,EntraIDand Azure AD and related security principles and controls; and/or

  • Hands-on experience with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, including full-stack development (frontend and backend), building and consuming REST APIs, and developing scalable, maintainable applications. Experience integrating AI services or embedding AI capabilities into applications is a plus.

  • Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Graph, YAML, Python, HTML/CSS and/or JSON (for adaptive cards and data handling)

  • Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and localisation best practices.

  • Experience with other AI Models such as Google Gemini Enterprise

  • Strong analytical skills

  • You are passionate about GenAI, stay up to date with the latest developments, and enjoy automating manual processes by turning ideas into practical solutions.
