Why this is not a ‘standard’ product manager role

We are looking for a Global Product Manager DPM & Advice. You know what it takes to launch scalable discretionary portfolio management and advisory products. In this role, you will focus on the opening and revision processes of the global investment propositions. You operate in a domain where technology, investment products, regulation, data, and international strategy come together. Today you work with Dutch and Belgian stakeholders; tomorrow you sit at the table with teams from Madrid, Bucharest, or Milan.

Role and responsibilities

• Drive the end‑to‑end product strategy for suitability investment journeys across multiple countries.
• Lead the creation of one scalable global onboarding and advisory journey for investment products.
• Work closely with engineers, UX, data specialists and country teams to deliver impactful product improvements.
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into user‑friendly, scalable solutions (without being the subject‑matter expert yourself).
• Align senior stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk and business domains.
• Contribute to ING’s global product roadmap and guide international rollout decisions.
• Act as a senior partner for country product teams during implementation and change processes.

How to succeed

You are a strong fit if you bring:

• 8–10+ years of experience in Product Management within a financial or regulated environment.
• ​Experience in investments, advisory flows, onboarding or suitability‑related processes.
• Experience with global operating models or multi‑market rollout.
• Experience with multi‑country or platform‑wide product delivery.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into feasible product solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, including the ability to navigate trade‑offs with Legal & Compliance.
• A digital mindset with focus on scalability, customer impact and straight‑through processing.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• Professional fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
