You’ll be part of the Trainee Management team, a small and dynamic group of three trainee managers within the Circle Talents & Career in HR Netherlands. The team is responsible for the selection and supervision of trainees in the ING International Talent Programme. You’ll work closely with trainees, colleagues from the business, and various HR teams. The team culture is open, collaborative, and encourages initiative and creativity.

Roles and responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Supporting the selection process for new trainees by coordinating with trainee managers, campus recruiters, and current trainees
  • Organizing onboarding events in April and October, as well as other in-person and virtual events throughout the year
  • Taking ownership of event planning from start to finish, including communication, logistics, budgeting, and execution
  • Managing administrative tasks, such as training registrations and data checks in various systems
  • Creating visual materials, such as presentations and planning documents, and supporting with agenda management
  • Contributing to the Internship Board, where you’ll collaborate with other interns to organize workshops, events, and meet-ups for all ING interns

You’ll be a full member of the team, and your ideas and input are highly valued. There’s plenty of room to shape your internship based on your learning goals and interests.

How to succeed

We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a hands-on mentality and enjoys taking initiative
  • Is skilled in planning and organizing events
  • Is accurate and detail-oriented in their work
  • Communicates effectively in both Dutch and English
  • Has an affinity with talent development and selection
  • Is currently enrolled at a Dutch HBO or university and has a WO thinking and working level

Rewards and benefits

This is a great opportunity to train with experienced professionals and gain insight into HR and talent development at a leading international bank. You’ll also benefit from:

  • Internship allowance of €700 per month (based on a 36-hour work week)
  • Your own work laptop
  • Hybrid working to combine focus at home with collaboration in the office
  • Personal growth opportunities and challenging work
  • An informal and innovative working environment
  • A strong network of trainees and interns across ING

We are looking for an intern to start in February 2026, preferably for a period of six months (36 hours per week). An earlier start date can be discussed.
