DevOps Engineer - QBR Portal @ING Hubs Romania

The Mission

Deliver and maintain ING Hubs RO's Internal Applications Platform (aka IAP).

The IAP is a platform developed internally for ING engineers who wants to address business problems with the purpose of expanding ING engineering culture and facilitate innovation.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

• Automating, deploying and running a production system;

• Providing level 2 support for the application;

• Implementing the security policy so that the system is secure at operating system, database and application server level;

• Understanding and monitoring the entire stack’s technology on which the application runs;

• Performing Incident, Problem and Change Management, including writing user stories for resolving problems;

• Provide the evidence to cover the required risk controls;

• AzureDevOps, automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (VMs and OpenShift);

• Infrastructure as code. Developing automated confirmation management based on Ansible to be able to automate setup of our VMs/containers (e.g. certificates, monitoring tools);

• Various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, RHEL, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools, OpenShift/Docker, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Nginx.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience:

• Tech stack/ knowledge:

  • Mandatory: bash/shell, docker, oracle, nginx, openshift;

  • Nice to have: ansible, Azure DevOps, java, scala, kotlin;

• Foreign languages: English (advanced);

• Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
