Your role
As Product Lead, you are accountable for a portfolio of four squads that own several critical digital assets within Digital Business Banking. Reporting directly to the Tribe Lead, you define and execute the strategic direction of the product cluster while ensuring successful delivery across a demanding and highly visible roadmap.
You lead a team of approximately 10 to 15 Customer Journey Experts and Product
Owners and create the conditions for them to excel. Together, you drive the
evolution of products that enable customer journeys across ING Belgium and
support ambitions extending beyond the local market.

A key focus of the role is to further mature and formalize the product vision across the portfolio, translating long-term ambitions into clear roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes. You balance strategic thinking with execution excellence, helping teams deliver on ambitious commitments while navigating a complex stakeholder landscape.
Beyond product delivery, you play a critical leadership role in increasing the
craftsmanship, mastery and effectiveness of the team. With exciting opportunities ahead, you will help build high-performing teams that are ready to scale, tackle increasingly complex challenges and create lasting customer and business impact.
You are also the escalation point for stakeholder alignment, governance and

The team
You will work in a highly international environment with engineering teams distributed across Belgium, India and the Philippines, requiring close collaboration between business and technology disciplines. The portfolio combines mature platforms with significant transformation opportunities, including a globally relevant product that is preparing for further expansion and contributes to strategic ING priorities.
This role offers a unique combination of end-to-end ownership, large-scale customer impact, global exposure and the opportunity to shape the future of digital banking capabilities that are used across multiple customer journeys and channels.

Roles and responsibilities
As a Product Lead, you:

 Define, formalize and execute the product vision and strategy for a portfolio of
critical digital assets, translating long-term ambitions into measurable
customer and business outcomes.
• Own the product roadmap and priorities across multiple squads, balancing
customer value, business goals, technology evolution and operational
resilience.
• Drive execution excellence by ensuring teams deliver against ambitious
commitments and strategic milestones.
• Lead and develop a team of Customer Journey Experts and Product Owners,
fostering a culture of ownership, learning and high performance.
• Increase the craftsmanship, mastery and maturity of the product organization,
enabling teams to take on increasingly complex opportunities and challenges.
• Build strong partnerships with technology leads and globally distributed
engineering teams to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
• Align stakeholders across tribes, domains and countries, creating clarity,
focus and momentum around shared objectives.
• Remove organizational impediments and help teams stay focused on delivery
and outcomes.
• Use data, customer insights and market developments to continuously
improve products, customer journeys and business impact.
• Ensure the portfolio remains aligned with ING's strategic priorities, regulatory
requirements and operational standards.

• A strong affinity with technology, platforms and APIs, enabling you to
effectively partner with engineering teams and make informed product
decisions.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and navigating
international stakeholder landscapes.
• A successful track record in transformation environments, driving change
while maintaining delivery momentum.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to create alignment
across business, technology and management stakeholders.
• A data-driven mindset and the ability to translate customer, business and
technology insights into clear priorities and outcomes.
• The courage to challenge the status quo, make decisions and take ownership
for results.
