Job Overview  

Join ING Retail Tech PH as a Backend Engineer where you will be part of a
cross-functional team of talented individuals. Together, your team will work
with the latest technologies to innovate and develop solutions. You will
report to a Chapter Lead who will guide your professional development and
help you reach your full potential.  

Key Responsibilities
•  Develop and maintain reliable applications
•  Set up CI/CD pipelines
•  Write automated tests  
•  Adopt a DevOps and Agile mindset  
•  Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define and design
features  
•  Incorporate security best practices into all stages of the development
•  Contribute to the team’s growth through mentorship and technical
interview participation

•  Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and
industry trends  

Key Capabilities/Experience
•  Strong backend programming (Java/Spring Boot, Golang, etc.)
•  Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker 
•  Troubleshooting using logs and alerts 
•  Basic Bash scripting 
•  Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing,
enabling efficient and reliable delivery of software.
•  Proven experience in building backend systems, including developing
RESTful APIs, integrating with databases, and working with
messaging services using modern technology stacks.
•  Strong software engineering foundations, with proficiency in OOP,
functional programming, design patterns, concurrency, and
test-driven development (TDD).
•  Effective collaborator in Agile environments, with a track record of
working across diverse, multicultural teams and adapting to evolving
requirements.
