Mission

Retail Banking is looking for a passionate Business Manager to join the strategy team of Private Individuals, to support head of division and its management by contributing towards strategy development and implementation, to monitor internal business processes and acts as a linking pin between other business units so as to enable effective and efficient operation intra and inter divisions.

Your day-to-day

• Plan and deliver tasks, projects or workstreams using an appropriate project management methodologies to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.
• Write or edit materials on behalf of head of private individuals, for various audiences, tailoring the tone and content to match the needs and expectations of each audience.
• Identify and solve issues, dependencies and constraints associated with strategic projects, escalating when appropriate.
• Represent the head of private individuals in various forums and be the go-to person on all business matters whenever the head of business is not available.
• Review existing operations and propose innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.
• Monitor budget for the hole domain or conduct complex analyses on budget progress when necessary, and work closely with the head of strategy for this purpose
• Provide oversight, align or support to team members, projects or initiatives, on behalf of head of private individuals, working within established limits.
• Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
• Support the head of private individuals business to execute internal or external communications. Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.

What you bring to the team

• Minimum University Degree required.  
• Leadership experience in banking industry required, with >10 years proven experience.
• Successful track record in leading business unit(s) within retail business, with direct responsibility for P&L, strategy and growth.
• Board level exposure and stakeholder management are a must.
• Inspiring communication capabilities, to deliver a compelling story that engages and influences across the organization. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills to swoop and soar, to connect the dots, to set strategy and direction based on facts and figures.
• Team player: it is about the team; you trust others and can be trusted. You are committed to team goals and always have the right spirit.
• Ability to work in matrix organization, collaborative mindset.
• Autonomy to set priorities and manage backlogs, structured way of working while flexibility to adapt to continuous change, ‘can do’ mentality, proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
