SUSTAINABILITY LEAD

ING Luxembourg is looking for a Sustainability Lead, that will work closely with the management, with other senior business and technology stakeholders to define and implement the local strategy. The sustainability lead orchestrates the delivery of complex change initiatives, coordinates discussions on ING’s mission, vision, and strategy to enhance the sustainability agenda and ensure it is appropriately represented across local organization. You will deliver transformational change for the business, will apply models, will analyze, and interpret data and documents, and will transform conclusions into projects about social, technological, economic, and political developments that may impact the local organization now and, in the future, to enable different directions to be taken, if required. You will report to the CEO.

Mission:

•           You will lead the planning and delivery of a wide range of information gathering and stakeholder consultation activities and negotiate, agree on program and project deliverables ensuring integration across the bank

•           You will hold overall responsibility for implementation of the group sustainability strategy 

•           You will develop and improve relationships with local senior managers, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges

•           You will coordinate of cross departmental / functional activities and working groups with subject matter experts in delivery and business

•           You will handle programs with impact on investments, lending, climate risk and CSR

•           You will participate in the development of corporate project and strategy for a local organization, applying functional expertise to test the viability of the strategy and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process

•           You will cover both risk and business aspects, across the 3 lines of defence and ensure a monitoring & report on progress

•           Address Sustainability dilemnas and progress to the senior management

•           You will ensure that risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints are managed appropriately at project level. Where risks or issues threaten delivery of the project, develop and agree recovery plans

•           Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement

•           Secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently
