Business Engineer XLINQ

XLINQ is a solution that helps to build reliable software faster at lower costs. It takes Business Knowledge as Code and generates secure and compliant software and provides Software as a Service. We are setting up a new capability (a XLINQ chapter) with all the tech skills needed to design, implement and maintain applications using XLINQ.

The XLINQ chapter will be working on business priorities from various domains. The focus for the upcoming quarters will be on Global KYC. You are expected to work in multi-functional squads with tech colleagues from other disciplines and non-tech stakeholders like customer journey experts, subject matter experts, end users and product owners. You’ll be part of new chapter mastering an innovative technology and part of a squad delivering business value.

In terms of your personality, you are an engineer with functional or business orientation. Or you are Business Analysts with technical knowledge. Your gift to humanity is that you can elicit and structure requirements and make code in a domain specific language. Yes, we’ll teach you how to do that in XLINQ. You thrive doing teamwork based on trust and collaboration. You are contribute making the chapter and squad a great and safe place to work (Orange Code).

Major Responsibility Areas:

Contributor

  • 80% of time is spent as a squad member.
  • Designing and implementing features in XLINQ Design Center.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining integration with other applications (end to end process, data and interfacing).
  • Resolve customer and user issues by incident and problem management.
  • Provide input for improved work instructions.
  • Work with the vendor to manage product upgrades and raise service requests.
  • 20% of time is spend as a chapter member to improve craftsmanship (your own and that of others).

Keep the Bank Safe

  • Ensure XLINQ IT Custodianship is ensured. This includes the XLINQ product roadmap.
  • ING standards and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • ING security and other control mechanisms are implemented.
  • Meet all functional and non-functional service levels as agreed with the stakeholders.

  • Ability to focus on end-to-end solutions.
  • Ability to liaise with a broad range of people, including line management, senior management, external suppliers.

Education: University qualifications in IT or other engineering discipline.

Functional and Technical Skills:

  • Domain Knowledge of banking and more specifically KYC is a prerequisite.
  • You have demonstrable engineering skills (SQL, object-oriented concepts, testing)
  • Skills and knowledge of data modelling (creating information models).
  • Skills and knowledge about business process designs, business process reengineering.
  • You have knowledge of agile, software development, DevOps, SDLC.
  • You have exposure to multiple, diverse infrastructure, application and information technologies and processing environments.
  • You know general IT risk controls (access controls, change controls, physical security).

Previous Experiences (in case of senior):

  • You have 3 years of experience as a feature engineer or business analyst working on technical software implementation.
  • You have 3 years of experience with business modelling and general consultancy.
  • You have 3 years of experience in financial services.
