Investment Specialist (Fixed‑Term contract)

Your role & work environment

As an Investment Specialist Equity, you will be part of the team that manages a growing number of ING proprietary Funds specially designed to answer our client needs. This team is part of the ING Global Investment Center, led by the Chief Investment Officer.

The ING Global Investment Center creates a coherent global vision on the economic and financial environment and evaluates market risks and opportunities, creating an investment strategy that supports ING Belgium across all segments. In line with risk management and based on client profiles, the IO defines an optimal asset allocation and manages funds specifically dedicated to ING clients.

ING Global Investment Center consists of more than 100 specialists in Brussels, Amsterdam and Luxemburg.

Your key responsibilities

You value equity from our investment universe:

• You follow the financial markets and its developments

• You evaluate listed companies to determine their financial health, competitive position, and investment attractiveness. The role supports portfolio managers

• You Conduct in‑depth fundamental analysis of companies

• You Build and maintain financial models

• You Produce written research notes

• You Track earnings releases, company news

• You assist the lead Equity analyst and his team

• Provide all information for reporting, risk management and communication purpose.

• Be an ambassador of the ING Global Investment Center

As an Investment Specialist Funds (Fund selection), you will also need:

• A Master degree in Finances or Economics and/or equivalent through experience;

• You have Strong Financial & Accounting Skills

• You have strong Analytical & Critical Thinking

• You have Clear Communication Skills

• You have a strong Quantitative & Data-Driven Mindset

• You are driven by Operational Excellence and customer focused;

• A good knowledge of English, Dutch and French

• An excellent knowledge of Information Data providers (Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, Morningstar, Sustainalytics), Excel or other financial software.

• Excellent organization and coordination skills: you assure that things go smoothly and “First Time Right”;

• You love collaborating with different people but are also able to function autonomously.

• You take initiative and make things happen thanks to your problem solving skills & ‘can-do’ attitude, quickly & accurately.

• Qualification like CFA, CEFA is a plus
