Become a trusted expert for international corporate clients at ING

What if we told you that you could build deep expertise in one of the most critical banking domains - without grey suits, stiff conversations, or outdated ways of working?

At the WB Client Services Desk we are redefining how corporate banking support works.

We connect with international corporate clients daily, help them navigate complex processes, and make their banking experience seamless.

Our Accounts & Onboarding team is a key pillar of that journey.

Why this role matters

The Accounts & Onboarding team is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of corporate accounts for ING’s international clients. This includes everything from opening new accounts, guiding clients through onboarding, maintaining account accuracy, to handling account closures or complex events such as mergers.

In this role, candidates work at the crossroads of client interaction, regulatory requirements, and operational execution, ensuring that every corporate client has a smooth, compliant, and high‑quality experience.

What you will be doing

✔ Account Opening - You help clients open new accounts, coordinate required documentation, perform essential checks, and make sure accounts are properly activated. You collaborate with expert teams (Mandates, Channels, Cash Management) to complete the full setup.
✔ Account Closing - You guide clients and internal partners through the safe closure of accounts, ensure linked products are handled correctly, and manage confirmations and documentation.
✔ Account Modifications - You process client requests to update account details, link or delink account features, and apply or remove legal/account blocks.
✔ Mergers - You support clients undergoing structural changes by coordinating the transfer or closure of accounts, performing required checks, and ensuring clean execution in collaboration with relevant domains.

You’ll be part of a capability-focused team - meaning you will deepen your expertise in this domain, collaborate closely with other specialists, and still remain in direct communication with clients and stakeholders.

This job is for you if you want to:

  • Build strong expertise in accounts’ domain
  • Help large international companies get set up quickly, correctly, and confidently
  • Communicate with clients and internal departments across Europe
  • Take ownership and solve problems in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Contribute to improving our processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Grow your career - not just fill a position

What we are looking for

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn banking processes in depth
  • Great communication skills (English is a must)
  • Precision, structure and problem‑solving mindset
  • Confidence in talking to clients and internal stakeholders
  • A team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude
  • Experience in service/client-facing roles is an advantage
  • Experience in onboarding, accounts management or KYC is a bonus - but not required. We will teach you.

Where your journey leads

CSD offers a clear 4‑level career path - from Junior to Senior - with opportunities to:

  • Become a subject-matter expert
  • Mentor others
  • Participate in cross-European initiatives
  • Move into leadership or specialist roles

We don’t just support development - we expect it.
