Your Role

The Customer Journey Expert (CJE) is a member of a squad within ING's OWoW organisation, who works together with other Customer Journey Experts to achieve the squad's purpose. A Digitisation CJE will have expertise in one or more of the areas of products, channel, processes and/or process optimisation.

You have responsibility for the development, management and lifecycle of projects allocated to the Tribes roadmap which may include lending, payments and KYC processes and other business processes. You are familiar with optimising processes with a sharp eye for how to digitise them for an optimal customer experience whilst meeting Risk, Regulatory and overall ING targets.


The role of CJE in the Digitisation Tribe also includes the responsibility of being a Product Owner within a squad. The Product Owner decides what is being worked on within a squad (in consultation with a Tribe Lead/Chapter Lead), is responsible for meeting the squad’s KPI’s (together with the squad) and decides what the key priorities are.

Chapter Expertise

You will be part of the Chapter Digitisation that is responsible for driving the craftsmanship of Digitising processes and Digitisation solutions, ensuring they are fit for purpose for the end users (customers or internal staff) and in line with global standards and policy.
