HR Business Partner Tech

We are looking for an HR Business Partner Tech to strengthen our awesome HR Techteam.

Within the HR organization, we deliver as a team on the People Vision through closely collaborating and working with the HR Communities of Expertise (CoE’s) and People Services.

The HRBP reports to the head of HR for Tech the Netherlands and is based in Amsterdam. This role partners with the CIO of ING the Netherlands, and is part of the management team.

Roles and responsibilities

The HRBP works closely with leaders and their management teams in shaping and implementing business strategy and the HR people agenda. Being able to build a strong relationship with the business is crucial to be successful. The HRBP brings in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, the HRBP has strong business acumen and affinity with Tech.

Areas where you make impact:

  • Shaping the People- and Business Agenda - partner with business leaders and their management teams to ensure that the right core people capabilities are available to allow for current and future business success.

  • Building a Performance Culture - coach business leaders and their management teams in using performance and talent management solutions to drive individual and team performance.

  • Promote and apply bank wide People solutions that meet business needs - bring and apply bank wide people solutions, developed by the CoE, to the specific business context.

  • Collaborating to successfully convey the HR service delivery model - bring feedback on the business needs and context to the CoE and People Services to improve the people solutions.

Key activities include, amongst others

  • Partnering with Tech leaders to design the business and people strategy and building strategic workforce plans to support execution.

  • Leading and supporting annual people processes; performance review, succession planning, talent review, action planning based on company surveys (OHI/WQ/Pulse);

  • Developing the leadership of the future using the global talent programs.

  • Acting as an ambassador of the diversity & inclusion-strategy.

  • Acting as a change agent and represents the voice of people during business transformations.

  • Managing overarching projects and initiatives in HR.

  • Be the voice of the business, representing their needs while supporting the CoE in building new initiatives and policies.

How to succeed

  • Strong business acumen.

  • A strong strategic focus and an ability to translate the people vision into increased business performance.

  • Affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building the people agenda.

  • Demonstrated consultation skills to help the business in understanding their people needs and propose the right global solution to fit that need.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a clear demonstration of influencing business leaders.

  • Practical experience of implementing significant change initiatives successfully.

  • Sensitivity to local/regional employment legislation and regulations.

  • Occasional travel to the retail countries is required in this role.

You are a strong communicator at all levels of the organization (excellent written and verbal English language skills and story-telling abilities). You are proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).You hold a master’s degree, preferably in HR or Business. Ideally, you will have had work experience in an international matrix organization.
