The Mission

ING Hubs Romania Compliance Officer will be working with a variety of internal stakeholders, that offers an environment which not only provides the overview on how the various Compliance requirements and controls are embedded, yet also provides the opportunity to further support the enhancement of the global control framework.

This new position will be created within ING Hubs Romania is to support ING Group Compliance. The Compliance Officer will act as a specialist on Anti-Competitive Conduct topics, to support and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of Risk Management Cycle activities for Anti-Competitive Conduct risks.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your daily responsibilities will be:

  • Support central team and the appropriate review of Anti-Competitive Conduct policy and other supportive documents.

  • Perform Horizon Scanning, ensuring a review of new legal requirements and publications.

  • Provide compliance expertise related to Anti-Competitive Conduct.

  • Support the design of the Annual Compliance Risk Assessment for Anti-Competitive Conduct risk.

  • Assess and support the reporting of the Anti-Competitive Conduct topics considering lagging indicators and forward-looking indicators (review, assess and report on all relevant compliance topics from Cockpit)

  • Steer, advise, and challenge local entities on data reported as part of Compliance Cockpit.

  • Support the development of the overview of global risk conduct reports.

  • Support the Risk Academy in the development of Anti-Competitive Conduct trainings.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • An in-depth content knowledge and practical skills related to the Anti-Competitive Conduct risk area (including relevant legislation, guidelines, industry body views, market analysis);

  • 5+ years’ experience in compliance risk management or experience that is relevant for Anti-Competitive Conduct area.

  • You enjoy learning, sharing and you have innovative mindset.

  • You are flexible: you adjust approaches and seek different paths in a targeted manner.

  • You have a structured working style, and you are pro-active.

  • It is in your nature to maintain contact with stakeholders.

  • You are a good communicator, being able to convey complex messages in simple ways both orally and on paper.

  • Experience in working in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary and multi-layered team.

  • You are a team player; you trust others and can be trusted.

  • Foreign languages: English (advanced)

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
