DevOps Engineer - Tech Lead

We are looking for engineers who have experience working in an agile environment and understand the importance of DevOps mindset in delivering applications. You should be able to adapt standards, technologies, and approach in producing mission-critical solutions. As a problem-solver, you are expected to work within multidisciplinary teams and IT organizations across various ING entities - thus communicating your ideas plays a key role in your day-to-day job.

Role and Responsibilities:

• You design, build, test IT products (functional, performance, resilience and security tests) and operate in line with the customer’s requirements and IT Area’ set of guidelines.
• You lead a team of DevOps engineers supporting them with the interpretation of your design and growing their technical skills to implement working software.
• Write fully automated tests (e.g., unit-, functional-, non-functional- and integration testing).
• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Executing tests on software usability.
• Interacting with business to understand product requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
• You implement all mandatory security standards to ensure IT risk is and remain under control.
• You perform Life Cycle Management (including decommissioning) for IT products under management.
• You ensure monitoring, logging and alerting is in place to be able to operate the application and the service without interruptions.

As a Tech Lead Engineer (DevOps Engineer), you must have:

• Expert level of knowledge with the following:
• Java 11 and 17
• Springboot, Spring Integration, and other solutions
• RESTful API development
• Microservice Architecture
• CI/CD Pipelines in Azure
• Production support
• Test automation
• Security
• IT Risk
• Experience with systems like OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker
• Strong team player skills, empowering and challenging the squad members in a positive and constructive way.
• Willing to learn and understand:
• Cloud-based Technologies

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus.
• Experience with distributed teams is a plus.
