Position Summary:

As a member of the UI test engineering platform team, you will deliver robust and efficient UI test and develop / support the platform on Java / Spring Boot based Stubs. Follow engineering best  practices as directed by business constraints while respecting controls. As the test engineer, you are expected to:

• Test automation of Web / UI tests, APIs Functional tests while meeting quality criteria and project constraints
• Developing and maintaining Stubs in Java / Spring Boot and deploying them as docker containers.
• Automation of application configurations using DB scripts and any other scripting tools
• Automation using Cucumber, Playwright using JavaScript.
• Explore and try different methods to improve productivity and efficiency of the team
• Influence the direction of the overall architecture especially on quality and testing
• Understand the public and private cloud concepts especially compute, network, storage and data
• Critical attention to detail about quality, code, troubleshooting, efficiency and design
• Identify and reduce technical debt
• Be able to communicate effectively – verbal and written
• Be able to work alone or within a team as required.
• Take ownership of all assigned task and challenges
• Be proactive in promoting ‘Best Practices’
• Be available for out of hours support as required

Required Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrable deep and applied knowledge of the following:

• Primary experience in scripting / development:   Front end development  ( JavaScript )
• Additional experience in Backend development : Java, Spring-boot, Database
  • Docker& Kubernetes (both optional however preferred)
• Test tooling :  Cucumber, 
  • Playwright (optional skill)
• Git : knowledge of squash, rebase, branching strategies
• Good level in SQL/database
• Excellent Java programming and debugging skills
• knowledge of Oracle, Linux, Jenkins, GIT, REST
• Knowledge on Build Management Tool
• Designing and developing Test automation frameworks
• Developing automated UI tests using Selenium
• Managing and executing tests using TestNG
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum/Dev/Ops team
• Experience with E2E testing
• Good Communication Skill and Team Player
