What You’ll Bring – Core Competencies

No matter your specialisation, we’re looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Financial acumen: You hold a master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Investment, Engineering, or a related field, and have a strong interest in corporate and investment banking.
  • Client focus: You’re motivated to help large corporates and financial institutions succeed, and you understand the importance of tailored financial solutions.
  • Global mindset: You’ve gained international or extracurricular experience and are eager to work across borders. You’re fluent in English—Dutch or French is a plus and opens doors to more teams and roles.
  • Growth potential: You’re enthusiastic, driven, and collaborative, with a strong sense of initiative and a desire to turn ideas into impact.

Choose Your Path – Explore Our Wholesale Banking Domains

The International Talent Programme (ITP) in Wholesale Banking consists of three rotations, each lasting six months. Over the course of 18 months, you’ll explore key areas of ING’s corporate and investment banking services and build a strong foundation for your future career.

Your journey includes:

Two rotations in Brussels, where you’ll work in areas such as Sector Coverage (e.g. Real Estate, Energy), Lending, Sustainable Finance, Transaction Services, and Working Capital Solutions. Many trainees also choose to go abroad for one of their rotations, gaining international experience.

After completing the programme, you’ll transition into a permanent role at ING Brussels, where you’ll specialise in your chosen field and continue to grow your expertise.
