The Mission

An important program within ING is the implementation of Non-Financial Risk applications, especially for Compliance. In the squads, applications for Compliance will be onboarded and maintained.

One of the applications for which we are looking for a Business Analysts is a vendor supplied application.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, here are your daily responsibilities:

• • You make sure that the requirements are complete, consistent, of good quality, that they are translated correctly in the design, and that they are maintained and, if necessary, adjusted if changes occur;
  • You understand the tool functionality, the business requirements and the impact that specific changes can produce in the system;
  • You support the Product Owner and the squad in managing the backlog by prioritizing the work and translate the tasks into user stories and tasks, to make the work visible and the progress trackable;
  • You make connections between business requirements and the vendor’s implementation strategy and roadmap;
  • You are directly involved in the elicitation process for the initiatives on which you are lead Business Analyst;
  • You keep a transparent communication with business partners referring to the timelines, impediments, progress on the deliverables, dependencies etc.;
  • You are working closely with Tech colleagues, Vendor, Data delivery team (in building the data mart), Compliance Reporting team (responsible in building the dashboards), Global HR team or any other team directly linked to the tasks performed;
  • You have a good understanding of the data base - able to navigate via SQL queries into the data base, run queries to easily achieve the elicitation conclusions;
  • Tech oriented in being able to manage coding configurations in the UI and easily understand the existing set-up - create new processes, update existing configurations, update notifications etc.;
  • Handling both BAU and change activities, by timely managing the activity and keeping a consistency between vendor demands and business impact;
  • You understand how the API works - how the business requirements can be translated in API demands - identify the tools to be integrated with, identify the parameters, create the API body, create the data transfer logic and identify the impact in both tools;
  • Incident management;
  • Handling the release management - changes release by the vendor - refine the impact, test the configuration, support in UAT, document the testing and the changes, raising issues and/ or concerns;
  • You are involved in testing the solution - validating the configuration, document the evidences, raise concerns or issues to the vendor etc.;
  • You work in automating the regression tests through INGenious;
  • You work with Copilot AI to automate processes and create efficiency;
  • You frequently revisit the priorities, together with the team Product Owner and adjust the current work, considering the criticality of the demands;
  • Data manipulation - Global HR;
  • You assess the data accuracy and propose improvements/ changes.

You will work Agile as part of a multidisciplinary squad which consists of Business Analysts, IT Developers and IT OPS staff.

• The Non-Financial Risk, Compliance community is your client base, in almost all countries where ING is currently active. Therefore, staying in close contact with these clients will be an important part of your job.
• Together with your team you are responsible for stable and maintainable NFR & Compliance applications platforms.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience:
  • Relevant project and banking experience as a Business Analyst, with affinity on functional side and knowledge of Compliance domain;
  • Stakeholder management - excellent communicator and able to build bridges between multiple stakeholders. You are able to convincingly put forward your proposals, challenge and convince and are a real team player in reaching broad agreement on the road to follow;
  • You have experience with solutions developed with external vendor – a good understanding of the particularities, as the local team has also functional admin function*;
  • You possess a basic/good understanding of the concepts of data feeds, data model, process modelling (BPMN);
  • You have experience with the testing process – good understanding of the different types of testing (progression, non-regression, INT, UAT), can elaborate test scenarios in support of INT/UAT and can perform testing if necessary;
  • You are familiar with Release Management concepts (minor, major, release notes etc.);
  • You have project management abilities with which you support the Product Owner;
  • You have practical experience working agile - understand and support the agile way of working in cross-functional and distributed teams;
  • You have experience in supporting the rollout of modules/solutions towards multiple entities;
  • REST API, SQL queries, Data understanding.

• Tech stack/ knowledge:
  • Mandatory: affinity for TECH/IT;
  • Nice to have:  risk and security knowledge of an app;
• Foreign languages: English (advanced);
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Economic or IT related field.
