Your role & work environment

The Wholesale Banking Business Risk Manager (m/f) is responsible of the non-financial risk within Wholesale Banking (“WB”) in Luxembourg (KYC, Tax Compliance Policy, I-Risk issues related to non-financial risk topics). He / she fosters “Safe business” awareness to ensure that risks of the business are within risk appetite. In this context, he / she is responsible for the implementation of the local regulations and ING policies throughout the Wholesale Banking department.

You will join the growing Wholesale Banking department of ING Luxembourg. Our team is covering both corporate clients and financial institutions (incl. investment funds) and is offering the full range of ING products ranging from Lending to payment & cash management solutions, and from financial markets to depositary activities. 

Your key responsibilities

Risk know how

• Be the main contact person within ING Luxembourg for non-financial risks (incl. compliance) related to Wholesale Banking, effectively building bridges between all risk functions (both locally and at group level) and the business.
• Interaction with clients, represent ING WB towards NFR/compliance counterparts.
• Participating to relevant technical groups of LPEA/ALFI/…
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall business and people strategy and ING business principles including ING's Orange Code.
• Implement (changes to existing) processes and policies to ensure compliance with the local regulations and internal Group policies with the support of Tech.
• Ensure that the services provided within WB are according to the rules set and respect the local regulations and internal Group policies.
• Developing and coordinating knowledge sharing and foster a culture of collaboration, client focus, continuous improvement and innovation.
• Be hierarchically responsible for the WB Tax business and people.

KYC

• Being the key contact person for Wholesale Banking FO KYC in Luxembourg within the Wholesale Banking network (for BAU, Offboarding, etc.).
• Follow up on QA results and ensure improvements are made to the first line of defense at WB if needed and cooperate with other colleagues across the bank to improve the overall QA and KYC process.
• Ensure the commercial teams have the required awareness on the most recent regulatory requirements in terms of KYC by organizing trainings.
• Presenting KYC related topics to the relevant risk committee when required.

Experience:

• Academic degree with 5/10 years’ experience minimum in Business and Risk activities

Languages:

• English is a must;
• French is an advantage.
