Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Area Lead of Brand Comms strategy and Social Media, reporitng to our Head of Brand and Marketing, to join our Comms strategy Area within our Brand Experience Team

The responsibility of this team is developing one of the leading loved brands, recognized for the added value of its unique tone of voice and excellence in communication.

Your key responsibilities:

As Area Lead of Brand Comms strategy and Social Media your key responsibilities are

Team development and coordination

  • Lead and coordinate Brand Comms strategy team, with different expertise, setting objectives and development plans. Promote development of the different team members. Ensure state of the art outcome challenging teams to stay always step ahead in the discipline.
  • Be a key member of the Marketing Leadership team to achieve jointly key goals and achievements aligned with the strategic plan. 

Developing the brand initiatives beyond products

  • You will be in charge of developing the brand initiatives beyond products, making a real impact in customer perception and satisfaction, using communication as a truly innovation lever to either master customer centric initiatives to create emotional links with customers and potential customers.
  • For that, any initiative beyond commercial agenda will be key to fulfil these goals like experience comms in real moments of truth (from digital experiences, to birthdays or anniversaries and building confidence thru financial health or fraud prevention)
  • You will have the responsibility to set the right agenda  in terms of bank wide initiatives that you will lead integrating different areas and capabilities from the bank (e.g ESG initiatives…)

  • On top of that, as responsible for Social Media, you will improve  genuine and relevant engagement both in customers and potentials, by transmitting Brand values thru the different actions, contents and events in SM, connecting also with product needs. Being Social Media the most growing and challenging channel where customers and potential clients are, the challenge and opportunity to outperform this channel is huge and it is a clear priority for the success of ING Strategy

Proven track record and technical skills

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Social Media ecosystem, able to move forward on an ever-changing environment.
  • Proven ability to strategically develop brand initiatives agenda.
  • Passionate about innovation and new market trends
  • Proven planning & organizational skills
  • Clear communications skills (written and oral)
  • Able to work in an autonomous way and to take initiative.
  • Making things happen thanks to your ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Problem solving mindset.
  • Ability to work on an international environment.
  • Managerial experience within an agile organization, and inspiration to continuing working in this matter.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.

Set up right Way of Working

  • Understand agile ecosystem and be able to adapt general framework at a bank and CoE level to Brand Comms Strategy and Social Media department
  • Together with your PLs, responsible to create, prioritize, plan and deliver the backlog of your area, aligned with the OKRs defined and clients/tribes expectations.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the LT to ensure the best definition and implementation of your solutions.
  • Align Spanish agenda with HO vision and requirements.
