ING Hubs Slovakia is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING wholesale & retail branches worldwide as well as expert support in risk area across business lines and bank support functions of ING Group. In this position you will be working within the 1st Line of Defense (LoD) and act as a trusted advisor and expert in non-financial risk (NFR) management. The role is to provide support to business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance and operational resilience. The role helps ING to demonstrate integrity and control to customers, regulators, and society.So, if you feel comfortable in a changing environment where being in control of our services and risk is a key success factor, and you enjoy working in an agile way then we’re looking for you!

This is a full-time position, based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Responsibilities:

• Work proactively with representatives and management of bank support functions and provide hands-on support in identifying control weaknesses and implementing new control standards
• Assist control owners in implementing solutions and controls that close and minimize any identified control weaknesses and gaps
• Participate on control execution for distinct business area, or provide support for control execution and creation of evidence required by the Control Standard
• Partner with our 2nd LoD colleagues in analyzing and understanding where risk and control weaknesses arise
• Execute risk assessments and gap analyses with regards to the implementation of new control standards and/or new tooling and processes
• Develop and maintain local monitoring plans
• Enable the business in applying risk judgment on E2E issues and event management process
• Advice and support on issue identification, issue ratings, risk responses, monitoring etc.  
• Monitor and report on risk mitigation actions and control effectiveness, with purpose to facilitate data driven monitoring and decision making
• Assist in audits and reviews (e.g. by helping to do desk research, collecting requested information, performing data analyses and interpretation and answering enquiry questions. Proactively looking for gaps in advance of audits)
• Act as a link between the 1LoD business departments and 2LoD (NFR, Compliance), or various stakeholders across the organization
• Act as a risk culture ambassador

Please note that we have couple roles with different seniority opened in this department; your experience will be discussed during the interview.

Personality requirements and skills

• 3+ years’ experience in risk management, compliance, internal controls, or audit setting
• Work experience in financial sector, shared service centers with link to control environment or project management
• Working knowledge of risk assessments and controls implementation & testing
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong communication and influence skills and an ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
• Ability to build bridges, bring people together (interpersonal awareness), act as a sparring partner to various stakeholders
• Strong work ethic combined with a structured and disciplined approach, resulting in ‘getting things done’
• A flexible mindset and personality with capabilities to optimally function in fast changing environment
• Fluent English written and spoken

Wage (gross)

• 2 669 EUR/month
• *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
