Your role & work environment

Leasing is a key financing product within the ING Group product offering, Lease offers financing solutions to both Business Banking and Wholesale Banking clients throughout many countries, with local lease experts in i.a. Belgium, Poland, The Netherlands, Turkey, etc.

In Belgium, ING Lease is one of the market leaders in the Belgian financial leasing market and offers clients a complete service for the leasing of assets for professional use: sales, back office and after care. Lease finances a wide arrange of assets including i.a. cars and trucks to equipment, renewables and buildings.

Based in Brussels, the business manager to the Global head of lease acts as trusted advisor and project manager, running strategic projects, monitoring the progress on achieving objectives, supporting and optimizing the Leasing organization.

As such you will actively contribute to the development of the lease product within both Belgium and the Group, ensuring a first class customer experience in a safe & compliant way.

On a day-to-day basis this also means that you prepare meetings and presentations; gather and report high quality information to drive informed decision making; actively propose and contribute to continuous improvements and projects and act as a linking pin with various stakeholders within ING.

As a Business Manager you have:  

• relevant experience in a front sales banking environment (retail, business banking or wholesale banking) and/or experience in execution of strategic projects
• excellent oral and written skills in in Dutch, French and English 
• a high proficiency in Excel (and data analytics) and PowerPoint
• the ability to understand complex business situations
• a well-developed risk awareness and diligence ensuring a safe and compliant way of working
• a problem solving attitude and eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
• a participative personal style allowing to connect vertically and horizontally across the organization
• a capacity of thought leadership allowing to navigate through ambiguity
• a high sense of integrity (you will often work on confidential projects)
