Within the BMG Compliance team, we are looking for a Compliance Officer. Your focus lies on Client Conduct & Data Protection (CC&DP) compliance aspects. Your responsibility is to oversee and report on the risks related to the fair treatment of customers including market & organizational conduct, and the risks related to the processing of personal data of our clients, employees, suppliers, and business partners.

BMG is a fully owned subsidiary of ING Bank N.V. and is part of ING Wholesale Banking Transaction Services.

On a daily basis you report to the Compliance Lead. Hierarchically you report to the Head of Risk of BMG.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Analyze, advice and monitor the adherence to CC&DP policy requirements.

  • Provide compliance expertise and advice related to various compliance policies.

  • Advise on and assist the business to implement changes required as a result of local and EU regulatory changes.

  • Prepare and maintain compliance risk framework deliverables, including KRIs, Compliance Chart, risk assessments (e.g. One Compliance Risk Assessments, SIRA, etc);

  • Plan and ensure delivery of appropriate Conduct Compliance activities, monitoring, training, and awareness communications based on the risk assessments.

  • Are responsible for the compliance risk reporting process, including related reports, thereby combining in-depth and critical analysis with an eye for data quality.

  • Identify and drive improvement metrics using Compliance reporting Tools (iRisk, Cognos) and Compliance dashboard.

  • Support Key Control Testing and CSS/QA requests where required, including ensuring the correct information is provided.

  • Coordinate effectively with key stakeholders, incl. Front Office, Business Control, Compliance QA, WB NL Compliance, ING Global Compliance Centre (IGCC), the DP Vertical, Internal Audit and Legal.

  • You have a university degree or equivalent.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Conduct Compliance Risk ( MiFID, EMIR, PSD2 etc), knowledge and and practical skills related to Data Protection are an advantage.

  • You have a good understanding of ING’s CC & DP processes and policies.

  • You have excellent command of English, both verbal and written.

  • You have excellent writing skills.

  • You can retrieve, extract required information from a variety of source systems. Knowledge of the iRisk and Cognos System is an advantage.

  • You have excellent open communication and presentation skills, outgoing nature, self-motivated, self-starter.

  • You can convey complex messages in simple ways both orally and on paper.

  • You are a team player able to build effective working relationships and operate. independently in a global environment.

  • You have a structured working style, and you are pro-active.

  • It is in your nature to maintain contacts with stakeholders.

  • You are critical, quick thinker and analytical
