Within the Circle FINREP & ESG Reporting Services you will work together within a team of high-valued experts both in Amsterdam and Manilla. Together with the team, you will play a pivotal role in making sure that reports are timely prepared in an accurate and complete manner to Group Finance. Next to that you will drive the change and pursue operational excellence by making the end-to-end reporting chain more straight-through by eliminating manual work and shorten report throughput time.

We are looking for a new team member that is data savvy and takes it on and make it happen. You will work closely together with our team in Manilla and manage your stakeholders at the Tribe and ING locations around the world. You are structured, change-minded and love a challenge.

Your new work environment

The COO Finance (COOF) mission: We enable excellence in Finance with real time business insights, using state-of-the-art technologies, optimal use of data and highly effective operations. We are a global independent unit within our COO domain, reporting into both CFO and COO. We are accountable for:

  • Executing Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank and designing the global finance operations and technology strategy (together with ING’s TECH organisation);
  • Optimising accounting and reporting productivity (and customer satisfaction) for both statutory, regulatory and management reporting.

Your responsibilities:

  • Keep the overview over end-to-end Finance processes
  • Use analytics tools to support the reporting processes
  • Guarantee compliance with control frameworks
  • Analyse and comment on changing accounting/regulatory requirements  
  • Participate in projects by clarifying data definitions and proposing solutions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive the change to achieve a more straight-through reporting process.
  • You take ownership and manage your stakeholders

Furthermore, you have:

  • Current residency in the Netherlands
  • Prior work experience in a banking environment
  • Experience with statutory and/or regulatory reporting
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Awareness of the importance of data for a bank and ready to make the link between regulation and technology
  • Experience with analysing and understanding data-driven reporting chains
