Who are we?

COO Risk delivers baseline and change activities for the Risk Organization. Our vision and purpose for COO Risk is clear: To deliver best in class data, insights and advice which empower our consumers to control, explain, predict and optimise the performance of ING. We play a critical role at ING and will be the go-to function for all kinds of data across the Bank.

The Air Traffic Control Team is acts as a ‘Center of Expertise’ in the COO Risk organization. In that role we lead the Credit Model Implementation work and facilitate the COO Risk processes that are tribe overarching. Examples are the ever-challenging match between supply and demand from all across ING, budgeting and learning & development. Additionally, our team of highly ambitious and driven professionals offer global support to both local and central change initiatives by always being on top of developments across the globe and report on our overall progress towards the board and ECB.

We expect you to

  • Take seat in the overarching the ‘Air Traffic Control’ team to contribute to our ambition to provide best in class learning experiences.
  • Interact and update all internal stakeholders from CRO, CFO, COO, WB and Retail Banking
  • Stress the collective goal and guide change teams and give direction.
  • Anticipate to possible impediments and guide interventions with leads and stakeholders
  • Participate actively in knowledge sharing activities inside ING like community meetings and contribute to knowledge networks

Your competencies

  • Support large change programs in an international context.
  • Support complex (multi-year) change programs on program level – covering multiple countries / functional departments.
  • Work successfully with multiple countries and make sure these different cultures will work together as one team: considering different habits, languages and time-zones, etc.
  • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
  • Proficient resilience: Have the experience to navigate through ambiguity and simplify complexity without losing essence.

Required skills and experience

  • Education at University with a master’s degree
  • Proven record of relevant change execution experience preferably with international exposure
  • A personality and the capabilities to function effectively within an Agile environment.
  • Competent knowledge of Banking/Credit Risk is a plus.
  • Proficient expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Proven experience in large transformation programs with high impact
  • Proven experience with Non-Financial Risk activities.
  • Excellent level of English
