Intern Risk Model Data Analyst

As an Intern in the Risk Modelling team at the Tribe Business Lending, you'll help create and improve rating models for different types of business loans, like those for small businesses, private banking, large companies, and government projects. You'll connect these models to the business lending processes and make sure they work well.

Your daily tasks will include analysing data to help improve business operations, sales, and risk management. You'll work on making our lending processes more data-driven and ensure we have high-quality data for modelling.

The team
Your colleagues will have a background in Process management, IT, Data Analytics/Management in the business and risk domain. You work closely with the colleagues from Sales, Pricing, Operations, Credit Risk and Finance.               

Roles and responsibilities

You contribute to the development of an early warning model to predict potential risks and opportunities. This will help the business take proactive steps to manage risks and seize opportunities. Core activities are:

  • Extract, Load, Transform (ETL) related activities of different types of business lending data;
  • Assist in the model development process;
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses in light of the model redevelopment process;
  • Report on outcomes of procedures and analyses.

  • Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or alike,
  • You are analytically strong and are a star in assessing and solving problems, making analyses, and sharing results with impact
  • You have experience or would like to gain experience in querying languages (e.g., SQL, SAS) and BI tooling (e.g., Cognos and PowerBI)
  • Someone who likes to share knowledge with the Tribe and Business banking on Risk Rating
  • Communicatively strong, team player and taking initiative and ownership
  • English (verbal and written) and hold current residency in the Netherlands. Dutch is a prerequisite
