Intern Wholesale Banking Real Estate Sector Coverage

As an intern, you will assist with new transactions, primarily focusing on financing. This may also include processes such as obtaining ratings or issuing bonds. Additionally, you will work on several specific projects.

The team
The Wholesale Banking Real Estate NL team consists of 5 FTEs, of which 3 are client-facing and manage their own client portfolios.

Roles and responsibilities

You will assist the relationship manager with new transactions and work on the following specific projects:

• Conducting peer analyses of real estate players both within the Netherlands and internationally. You will identify those trading below NAV and potential acquisition candidates. This information will be valuable for our internal discussions and can serve as conversation starters with our clients.
• Analyzing the condo conversion portfolios of WB RE NL, including volume, exposure, churn rate, and sales prices above the appraised value.
• Investigating which core offices in the Netherlands are financed by whom and when they were financed. This will allow us to proactively pitch potential opportunities.
• Identifying which assets in our portfolio do not yet have an energy label C or A. This crucial data will help us anticipate possible regulatory changes and stay ahead of the curve.
