Finance Domestic Bank is responsible for the financial accounting and Statutory/Regulatory reporting of all Retail activities in ING’s home market. One element which becomes more and more important is reporting on (finance) sustainability, from an internal and external perspective! Due to the increasing importance and continuously changing regulations, we are constantly exploring, investigating and implementing new Enviromental, Social and Governance (or ESG) reporting requirements in our reporting structure. Internship opportunity: Finance Sustainability

The purpose of this assignment is to improve the current ESG reporting process and extend it with all the changing regulations and internal ESG commitments that enable compliance with all the (future) financial sustainability reporting requirements on ESG.

Roles and responsibilities

Support in drafting an implementation plan, including but not limited to providing:

  • Assistance in investigating all ESG related financial disclosure requirements and the applicable timelines;
  • Assistance in determining which requirements are applicable for Domestic Bank NL and to which products they apply;
  • Assistance in performing a gap analysis;
  • Assistance in drafting a roadmap.
  • Support in designing governance processes to safeguard data quality;
  • Support in implementing the applicable ESG disclosure requirements applicable for 2025 and beyond;
  • Support various events, meetings, calls, reporting, project coordination activities, and project reporting.

Since you will immediately operate as a member of the team, we expect you to be or have:

  • A Master student with a profound interest in Sustainability/ Sustainable Development and Finance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great relationship skills with stakeholders from different levels and areas
  • High ambition/ energy level
  • Strong organisational/project management skills
  • Structured, proactive and good at teamwork
  • Perseverance
  • Fluency in English is required and proficiency in Dutch preferred
  • Positive learning attitude
