We act as commercial innovator by developing sustainable solutions for new business models and upcoming markets. Important topics are the energy transition and circular economy, supported by strong developments on the EU regulatory front. The team

The Sustainable Solutions Group team operates for all Wholesale Banking areas globally with colleagues based in the EMEA, Asia and US regions. This fast-growing commercial team with continuous business development has an open and collegial culture.

Roles and responsibilities

  • You will be conducting company research with an emphasis on sustainability strategy and performance
  • You will be composing high-quality slide decks used in client presentations that you can attend
  • You will assess external ‘green’, ‘social’, ‘sustainable’ or ‘transition’ criteria, including ESG ratings and EU regulatory developments and applying these to ING’s clients
  • You will be maintaining data quality, including populating databases and keeping track of market developments
  • Focus will be on bank lending products

We are looking for:

  • Master student or recent master graduate with relevant study direction
  • Still registered as a student at a university in the EU, note: non-EU applicants studying in the EU must be registered at a Dutch university due to visa restrictions
  • Customer-oriented and result-driven with excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Dynamic and energetic person able to work on challenging tasks and projects in a multidisciplinary team and who can also work independently
  • High proficiency in English, both written and verbally
  • Strong affinity with sustainability and motivated to make a positive impact through your work
  • Financial knowledge is not a prerequisite, but having affinity with the financial services sector is important
  • Have a curious mindset and eager to learn
