ING Procurement Netherlands is offering an exciting internship opportunity in Amsterdam. We are looking for a motivated intern to support the transformation of our internal Procurement website into a more intuitive and customer-friendly platform.

Procurement Netherlands within ING is headed by the Head of Procurement (HOP). The HOP is responsible for the procurement role in the Netherlands and reports into the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) Group and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Netherlands. The objective is to maximize the business benefits ING gets from its suppliers and ensure the integrity of the supply chain, while operating efficiently and with sustainability at the heart of everything we do. We enable our business partners to realize future changes and contribute to the strategic goals of ING:

  • We understand the need of the business and help them to make better decisions on choosing the solutions that will meet their demand.
  • We help to choose and manage the right suppliers with the right qualification for the job.
  • We act in compliance with the internal & external regulators/parties.

Roles and responsibilities

As an intern, your main responsibility will be to redesign and implement a more user-friendly internal website for Procurement NL. The goal is to provide ING stakeholders with a seamless experience when searching for and ordering third-party goods and services. You will work closely with teams across Procurement, Marketing, Communications, and other internal departments to ensure the platform meets ING’s standards and significantly enhances the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Redesign the internal Procurement website to improve usability and accessibility.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Ensure the website supports procurement processes and enhances internal customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a digital experience that is intuitive, efficient, and engaging.

  • An MBO or HBO degree in Web Design, Web Development, or a related field
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
