Job Details

As an IT Integrator, you will lead and coordinate large-scale initiatives, serving as a vital link between diverse stakeholders to drive impactful results. Your responsibilities will center around project management, IT planning, and cross-functional coordination, with a strong focus on executing change initiatives that span across tribes, products, domains, and global teams. You will develop and manage comprehensive IT implementation plans, ensuring that squads are aligned on technical interdependencies and that end-to-end execution is seamless. Within the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) domain, your scope of interest will include—but is not limited to—the implementation of SRE principles to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.

The team

ING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) aims to further mature, develop and expand ING’s state of the art payments platforms and settlements services. The PSS focusses on delivering payments and settlement services, meeting the expectations of ING’s business lines and beyond, whilst ensuring the basics: safe, secure, compliant, and reliable.

The PSS is an independent unit within ING’s COO domain, reporting directly into ING’s Chief Operating Officer.

The PSS is responsible for providing standardized payments and settlements services to multiple ING business lines (WB, Retail, and others). There is a clear ambition to also look for external commercialization of our payment platforms.

The PSS changes the organization towards a true Services-based organization and to deliver on ambitious promises, we have organized ourselves into a strong strategic and commercially focused organization around our eight services, where our squads working on those products are enabled by clear prioritization, accountability, and capabilities. And right there, the PSS SRE comes in.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Effective Delivery: Plan, report, coordinate, and manage dependencies, identifying, mitigating risks across teams and creating IT roadmaps.
  • Collaboration with Architects: Work closely with domains and solution architects to validate designs, ensure technical feasibility, and maintain architectural integrity during implementation.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure integrations adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory standards while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Guidance and Oversight: Coordinate the end to end feature delivery, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines and best practices.
  • Innovative Analysis: Dive deep into business requirements and transform them into cutting-edge technical solutions.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Find innovative ways to drive progress and remove impediments.
  • Budget and Cost Optimization: Monitor integration-related costs, provide input for financial planning, and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or compliance.
