The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to: Elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.

The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO).

The team

The Data/Reporting Experts team will be led by the Lead Data/Reporting Experts, who will report directly to the Head of Reporting & Insights. This team will focus on two core areas: Data and Reporting for CTO-owned data and reports. The scope will include data management and cross domain/institutional reporting related to operational performance, risk, delivery, people, and delivery financials, excluding client or product-related reports. The team will be responsible for:

Data collection: Ingesting Systems of Record (SoRs) into the data warehouse

  • Data standardization: Harmonizing the data

  • Data consumption: Enabling data access for reporting and delivery

  • Data engineering: Building and maintaining data pipelines

  • Creating data marts/products: Developing data products that meet end-consumer needs

For Reporting, the team will manage standardized reporting and the overall reporting framework. COO Tech will house the BI developers. The team’s responsibilities include:

  • Defining the overall reporting framework

  • Designing reports for consumption

  • Ensuring quality assurance of reports and data

  • Building reporting views for end users

  • Steering the reporting backlog across CTO

Key Responsibilities of Product Manager within Data/Reporting expert team :

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for data and reporting capabilities.

  • Align product goals with company objectives and customer needs.

  • Own the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on impact, feasibility, and stakeholder input.

  • Translate business requirements into clear product specifications and user stories.

  • Act as the voice of the customer.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility.

  • Drive the development of dashboards, self-service analytics tools, and automated reporting solutions.

  • Ensure Persona has been identified with their needs

  • Ensure reporting tools are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with user workflows.

  • Gather feedback through user testing and iterate on product features.

  • Define KPIs to measure product success and adoption.

  • Monitor usage and continuously optimize the product based on insights.

  • Ensure that the solutions to individual projects and problems align with the overall architectural roadmap.

  • Strategic thinking: demonstrate an ability to deliver forward looking product proposals and recommendations to stakeholders based on strong business requirements and product capabilities and new solutions.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Proven 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a data-driven or technology-focused environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of data ingestion, data product development, and data architecture. 

  • Experience with IT4IT-aligned processes and tools such as ServiceNow ITSM, Azure DevOps, or other data and reporting platforms

  • Demonstrated success in delivering strategic outcomes with engineering teams and Product Owners. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. 

  • A proactive, positive mindset and strong organizational awareness. 

  • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach to product delivery. 

  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills. 

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications
