Within the Global Digital & Assisted Channels tribe, we are on a mission to scale our digital channels across all markets with a best-in-class experience. Our OneApp Foundation squad plays a crucial role in shaping the future of OneApp, the Mobile Banking platform that powers digital experiences across multiple ING countries.


We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner with a background in digital delivery to help us bring OneApp Foundation to the next level. The team
The OneApp Foundation squad is part of the OneApp & OneWeb Foundation product, which forms the core of ING’s global Mobile Banking app and Web channel. It supports digital banking across multiple ING retail markets, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Australia, and Germany. Other product teams within our tribe – and across ING – build their features on top of these shared platforms.


The squad consists of 2 Customer Journey Experts, 3 iOS engineers and 2 Android engineers, working from Amsterdam and Brussels. The team is responsible for topics that are technical in nature (e.g. app framework architecture, pipeline improvements, build distribution, etc.) as well as coordinating migrations and other app-wide initiatives (e.g. new OS versions, LCM improvements, global release process, etc.).


Role and responsibilities

As Product Owner of the OneApp Foundation squad, you’re responsible for the front-end foundation of OneApp, both iOS and Android, across our markets.

  • Drive continuous improvement of the OneApp platform aligned with evolving business needs
  • Act as a bridge between business, IT, and product teams to deliver a solid OneApp foundation
  • Coordinate changes and upgrades by collaborating closely with other CJEs, engineers and architects (in and outside our tribe)
  • Manage complex stakeholder landscapes across multiple countries and domains
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of OneApp by identifying and acting upon opportunities for the OneApp foundation

About you

  • +5 years proven background in digital product delivery (customer journey design and/or business analysis) and project management
  • Technically skilled with strong communication abilities; confident and clear in interactions across all levels.
  • Currently residing in the Netherlands.
  • You’re comfortable working closely with engineers, understand technical concepts and are able to explain them in your own words
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or PACE methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: you can align diverse interests and drive decisions, and you work and communicate (written and verbal) in a structured way
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
